Veterinary Technicians/Assistants

Ashley L Jernigan
Ashley grew up in Manchester and joined Pet Medical Center in June of 2005. Ashley is currently studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has a wonderful daughter, Briley, who was born in June 2010. Her pet family includes a boxer, Brody, and Tinker, a minature Schnauzer. She enjoys working with all species of animals. Ashley is a huge sports fan and is the Assistant Coach for the Coffee County Central High Lady Raiders Softball Team.

Chelsea Amis

Chelsea started working for the Pet Medical team in May of 2015, Since her start, she married her husband, Nick in October of 2015, and gave birth to their son Blanton in May of 2017! Chelsea grew up in Manchester and just purchased her first home with her husband there. Her fur babies include a golden retriever, Layla, a yorkie, Libby, two lab mixes, Lilly and Rosie, a dachshund, Dexter, and a shorkie, Jax! She comes to work every day to do exactly what she loves, help animals!

Lauren Jernigan

Lauren starting working for Pet Medical Center in August of 2016. She grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and moved to Estill Springs in 2002. Lauren currently lives in Tullahoma with her husband and son. Her pet family includes a Rough-Coated Collie named Mollie, a Beagle named Lucky, an Australian Cattle Dog named Gus, and four cats: Mrs. Professor, Hero, Timmy, and Tommy. She lives on a farm and also takes care of the family's goats, chickens, horses, rabbits, and ducks. She loves working with animals!

Alaina Lusk

Alaina joined Pet Medical Center in 2015 and worked during her breaks from school. Since her beginning, she has graduated from East Tennessee State University in May of 2017, and now is at the clinic full-time. Alaina is a Coffee County native, and grew up in Manchester. She plans on attending vet school, but is undecided on her area of specialty. Her furry family includes an Irish Setter named Blaine, a black Lab named Murphy, two miniature Dachschunds named Ruby & Virgil, and a cat named Barn Kitty or BK for short. Alaina loves animals, and plans to base her career around them! 

Client Service Representatives

Gina Maxwell, Office Manager
Gina is a McMinnville, Tennessee native.  She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition.  She has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for over 20 years  as a receptionist, veterinary assistant and as an office manager.  In August 2008 she joined Pet Medical Center as office manager after having worked with Dr. Nickels 10 years earlier in McMinnville.  She has two wonderful children Nathan, who now lives in New York, and Allison who lives in Chattanooga.  Her pet family includes one dog, a blue heeler mix, Winston. She enjoys listening to music and playing the flute in a community band and in the orchestra at her church. She is also an avid golfer. 

Jess Cohen
Jess grew up in Schererville, Indiana which is about 40 minutes outside of Chicago. She moved to Manchester in June of 2014 and joined the Pet Medical Center team a month later. Jess obtained a Cardiology Technician Certificate in 2010, and is currently continuing her education in the field of Business Administration. Ever the animal lover, her fur baby family keeps growing! Jess's fur family includes 2 Enlgish Mastiffs named Banksy and Ruger, a rescued mixed breed named Palmer, and her cats, Stewart, Harriet, Opal, and Sampson.

Claire Gorman

Claire graduated from Tullahoma High School in May of 2017 and started working with the Pet Medical Center team in July of 2016. She has a Golden Retriever named Bella, and a Border Collie mix named Ivy. Claire started at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in the fall of 2017, and wants to study to become a Veterinary Pharmacist. She was born in Knoxville, so she's excited to be a Vol and study to help animals!

Brooklynn Ferrell

Brooklynn is the class of 2018 at Coffee County High School, and became part of the Pet Medical Center family in November of 2017. She is the middle child with 4 siblings; 3 bothers and 1 sister! Brooklynn herself has 3 furbabies: Lindsey and Xander, both Chihuahuas, and a Pitbull named Cocoa. But there are a total of 8 dogs and 7 cats in her fur family! Brooklynn loves animals and plans to work with them her whole career! She plans on attending Austin Peay State University in the fall of 2018 to major in Biology or Animal Sciences with a focus on Exotics.

Hanna Bradford

Hanna is currently a Junior at Tullahoma High School, Class of 2019. She's in a select choir called AristoCATS, and has always been apart of music and dance. Hanna is a lifegaurd for Tullahoma, and teaches swim classes throughout the year. She has a big German Shephard named Tank, a Saint Bernard named Josie, and a mixed breed named Jayla, all rescues! Hanna loves animals, and began working at Pet Medical Center in the fall of 2017. She wants to pursue a career in Journalism when she graduates, and has plans to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
